Marketing Lead

We are looking for a contributor to perform some or all of the following on a freelance / contract basis in 2025, with an eye toward a potential full-time role in 2026. Please see our CAREERS page to learn more about how we hire at Culture Foundry.

With your leadership and relentless effort, the Culture Foundry website is:

  • A paragon of excellence and a living example of best practices in digital branding, content, design and development
  • A demonstrably effective lead generation tool
  • Full of useful content that is:
    • Organized
    • On-brand
    • Written for our ideal customer profile 
    • Aligned with our overall sales strategy
    • Up to date
  • On the leading edge of SEO / AISO best practices, with the organic traffic and lead generation to prove it
  • Constantly evolving: the site moves smartly through its roadmap to get better every week
  • Integrated with HubSpot
  • Led by you as project manager and product owner
  • Evaluated via analytics to gauge usage and inform changes

Content marketing

Creation

  • Generate an editorial calendar to feed the following communication channels:
    • Website blog posts
    • Email newsletters
    • Social media channels
  • Research and create content to fulfill this calendar, including:
    • Directly under own byline
    • Ghost-written under other team-member bylines
    • Written directly by other team members, but facilitated (i.e. managed, edited and published) by you

Distribution

  • Publish this content to our active channels on a regular basis
    • Culture Foundry blog (weekly)
    • Culture Foundry email newsletter (monthly)
    • LinkedIn newsletter (monthly)
    • LinkedIn posts (2x weekly)

List building and Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) nurturing 

As a key driver of inbound sales leads, you will:

  • Build and manage prospect lists and ensure all list-building and nurturing efforts are aligned with inbound lead generation goals.
    • Develop, maintain, and segment contact databases in HubSpot and supporting tools
    • Identify high-quality leads through targeted list-building strategies using platforms like ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and website page activity
    • Ensure list accuracy through regular cleaning, deduplication
  • Lead nurture campaign development
    • Design and execute automated nurture workflows that guide prospects from awareness to decision
    • Segment audiences by buyer persona, industry, and stage in the funnel to deliver tailored messaging
    • Use a mix of channels, email sequences, retargeting ads, and social engagement to maintain ongoing touchpoints
  • Campaign optimization
    • Continuously analyze open rates, click-through rates, and conversion data to refine list segmentation and messaging
    • Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, offers, and call-to-action placement to increase engagement
    • Collaborate with Sales to track lead quality and adjust campaigns based on feedback

  • Responsible for creation and evolution of marketing collateral
    • Credentials deck
    • Swag
    • Gifts (including managing our annual holiday cookies gift send to clients)
  • Consult on evolution of sales collateral
    • Proposal template
    • Presentation template
  • Own the Culture Foundry brand experience at events we host or participate in

Strategic contributions 

Strategic questions you will help us with

  • How do we increase qualified subscribers to our email list?
  • How do we increase our social media following?
  • How should we resurrect our moribund Instagram feed (if at all)?
  • How would we activate our Bluesky account (if at all)?
  • How should we move into video in our marketing efforts? Should we create a YouTube channel? 
  • How should we pursue conference speaker, podcast guest, and award opportunities? 
  • Should we be using AI-enabled marketing tools like Blaze.ai and if so, how? 
  • How should we step into (and manage) paid media as our next step?
